There are many support resources available to OSSTF D16 T/OT members including the YRDSB's Employee and Family Assistance Plan (EFAP), Com Psych, but also through our Federation's Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) with Telus Health (formerly Lifeworks) and OTIP, who has a variety of specialized wellness programs including:

OTIP Telus Health (formerly Lifeworks) is OSSTF's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and provides tools to improve your mental, physical, social and financial wellbeing. You and your family will have access to counselling and resources that are totally confidential, 24/7.

Early Intervention Program (OTIP)

OTIP’s Early Intervention program is a union supported service that provides confidential and valuable assistance to members during the early stages of a medically-related work absence. We provide resources and education specific to your medical condition with a focus on recovery and a timely return to work.

In 5 to 20 minutes, FeelingBetterNow® allows you to confidentially discover your risk for a Mental Health issue early, so you can take immediate action, allowing you to stay healthy and productive at work.

(OTIP)

Starling Minds is a self-guided digital program that is available 24/7, private, and tailored to you. Access tools to help better manage your mental health including daily checkups, guided training sessions, and a supportive community. Based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, it can be used with medication or in-person therapy.  Get Started

CarePATH: Cancer Support Services is provided through OTIP (benefits).

Carepath’s Cancer Program helps you understand your diagnosis, provides information on test results, recommends possible treatment options and provides ongoing supportive counselling to help lessen the physical and emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis.
